The shooting death of 29-year-old Jose A. Rivera in Allentown was under investigation on Tuesday. Rivera was found with a gunshot wound to the torso shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday at the 700 block of North 9th Street, the Lehigh County Coroner said. Rivera was pronounced dead at the hospital at 5:43 p.m. No arrests have been announced and officials from the Allentown Police Department and Lehigh County District Attorney s Office are investigating the homicide.
